PODCAST: “Emotional Vomit” Naked Broad View, Episode 29

by Marilyn McKenna

women speaker

Oversharing – what Jill and I refer to as “emotional vomit” – can put a tremendous strain on a friendship. But where does it come from, and why?

If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of oversharing you know how uncomfortable it makes you feel, but frankly I’ve also been on the giving end of this strange dynamic. I’ve done a lot of soul-searching to understand why I did it and now I can be much more compassionate with myself and I can process my feelings in a way that places less burden on my friends.
