I’ve been drinking this detox tea every morning for months now and feel so much better than I did before. Don’t get me wrong, detoxing from caffeine was tough. But now that I’m off I can see how the caffeine / sugar roller coaster was messing with my energy level and moods all day long. Try this tea first thing every morning when you wake up. It’s a gentle, soothing way to energize your day.
1/2 cup organic honey
4 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground turmeric
1 dash cayenne pepper
2 pinches black pepper
lemon juice and lemon zest
Combine honey, ginger, turmeric, cayenne and black pepper in small jar; stir until ingredients are well combined. Refrigerate mixture.
Each morning, combine the zest and juice of 1/2 lemon into a mug, then add one heaping tsp of the honey mixture to the lemon. Steep mixture with boiling water. stirring until well combined. Enjoy!
