Ready, Aim … Awesome!
Your body is a reflection of what you do to it and for it every day.
That is, your habits largely (thought not exclusively, of course) determine your health.
The focus of the “10-Week, 10-Pound Challenge” for Week 4 has been our habits: the good, the bad and the ones that affect weight loss. Most importantly, we need to bring a heightened level of awareness to the habits that affect our health, especially when we’re trying to bring about change.
Learning how to create a new habit – really getting it to take root and flourish – is key is transforming your health. But how do you do that? If you haven’t already, listen to this week’s podcast where I illustrate two examples of new habits you might want to tackle:
- drinking more water every day
- starting an exercise program
The first one’s relatively simple, the second, much more difficult. But both are totally doable. The are 4 distinct steps involved in creating a habit and I walk you through each one and how to apply it to a new habit you want to start.
Habits are about what you do consistently. But keep in mind, consistency isn’t the same thing as perfection. You probably won’t ever carry out your healthy habits perfectly. But that’s okay! We’re not aiming for perfection.
We’re aiming for awesome!
Have a happy, healthy week!
