Most of the time we don’t blink an eye at gender-specific products: women’s deodorant that smells like baby powder, shaving cream (which probably comes out of the same giant vat) in the blue can vs the pink can, and of course the uniquely pungent Axe body wash.
But as Jill and I started talking about this ubiquitous phenomenon we realized that there’s something much more insidious at work.
