You can win and lose at the same time
How do you spell ‘weight loss”? I spell it DXA!
DXA stands for Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry, which is the clinical name of the body composition analysis I had done recently. The scan is much like an MRI, but measures bone density, lean muscle mass, and body fat percentage. It’s a tool that I’ve found extremely helpful in understanding what is going on inside my body and how my eating and exercise habits affect my health.
To learn more about how the test works, see my test, and understand how you can use it to improve your health, watch the video here.
Because I value this healthy living tool so much I am giving away a free scan to one lucky follower! Simply click here and we’ll get you entered, and if you use the social sharing buttons after you enter, you will receive extra entries for the friends and family who enter themselves! The more you share, the more chances you have to win!
In addition to the DXA scan, the focus this week has been on back-to-school and the ABCs of weight loss. We’ve got letters A through D covered so far, but stay tuned because every day in September will bring a new healthy living tip or fitness trick associated with each letter of the alphabet.
Letters E through J are coming this week; what could I possibly have up my sleeve?!?
Don’t go anywhere!
Have a happy, healthy week!
– Marilyn
